 Double Opening Pages with one of my favorite photographs, a Silver Back Mountain Gorilla looking at its future territory around the Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, home of the Mountain Gorillas. Their population is now rising after being almost extinct. Nowadays, the Mountain Gorillas Population is over 1000 individuals, still rising due to the politics of Joint Conservation in Rwanda and neighbor countries like DR Congo and Uganda.

L'illustré is a beautiful Swiss Magazine very well documented. Feature about the come back of the Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda. Thanks to the conservation, now the number of Mountain Gorillas in the region is over 1000 individuals, and the Mountain Gorilla left the Critically Endangered Species Status for "only" the Endangered Species Status...

Images of a Burchell's Zebra Stallion trying to resuscitate a female dead while giving birth in the Etosha National Park, Namibia.

The Stallion tried everything to resuscitate the female, pushing her with his head, pulling her with his legs, lifting her up with his teeth in his mouth, in vain.

In celebration of Africa Geographic's 15th years, they bring a selection of their finest animal photographs. While not necessarily definitive shots of each species, these images capture a mood, a gesture or a moment that conveys the majesty and richness of Africa's wildlife - and reinforces our deep connecion to it.

In Northern Botswana, spotted Hyenas often trail pack of African Wild Dogs in the hope of an easy meal. The Dogs, however, seize any opportunity to turn on their larger competitors and the ensuing battles are ferocius (though seldom fatal). Christophe Courteau's dramatic portfolio of one such altercation took everyone into the heart of the dust, fear and ferocity.
